- 2021 MV Agusta F4 will use a Euro5-compliant engine
- Likely to get new features and rider aids
- Not likely to come to India soon
MV Agusta has hinted via its social media channels that the updated F4 supersport motorcycle will debut on 3 June, 2021.
While the details are scarce, we do not expect to see a major change to the styling of the new MV Agusta F4. The company would, however, revise the feature list on the motorcycle. The 2021 F3 Rosso, which was recently revealed for the global markets, benefits from a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster and a new IMU inertial platform. We could see these features on the new MV Agusta F4 as well. The IMU inertial platform will bring enhanced rider safety aids such as cornering ABS, lean-sensitive traction control system, and a front lift control to the motorcycle.
Similar to its predecessor, the motorcycle should be available in three variants – standard, R, and RR. The top-spec RR variant should benefit from Ohlins-sourced suspension setup and latest Brembo callipers.
Mechanical specifications would receive revisions to comply with the newest emission norms, although we do not expect to see a drastic fall in the power and torque output figures. The old model, for reference, used a 998cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produced 192.3bhp and 110.8Nm of peak torque. The RR variant could receive slightly higher power and torque output than the standard and the R versions.
The India launch of the new MV Agusta F4 may take a while as the company is yet to announce its plans to return to our markets.
