MV Agusta’s flagship motorcycle- the Rush 1000, was unveiled for the first time in 2020. And now, the Italian manufacturer has released the second production run of the motorcycle. While there are slim chances of it being launched in India, we tell you all there is to know about the MV Agusta Rush 1000.
Outworldly styling
There is no denying the fact that the MV Agusta Rush 1000 has the visual appeal of a extraterrestrial object. Although a naked motorcycle, it has a lot going on when it comes to design.
The muscular fuel tank that sports defined lines and creases, air scoops on both sides, the high-mounted twin exhausts, disc-like design for the forged-aluminum rear wheel, and the radical pillion seat add unique character to the Rush 1000. One might also debate that it looks similar to the Brutale 1000, which is true. However, the Rush 1000 sets itself apart with the round full-LED headlamp up front.
Limited production
Besides its design, MV Agusta has also limited the Rush 1000’s production to add sprinkles of desirability to the package. Just like the previous model, the 2021 Rush 1000 is limited to 300 units.
Loaded with features
The Rush 1000 is a flagship motorcycle and MV Agusta have left no stone unturned in determining that, loading the motorcycle with a tonne of features. There is full-LED lighting, a 5.5-inch TFT display that comes with Bluetooth and GPS as standard. It also gets several modes, launch control, cruise control, wheelie control as well as cornering ABS. To top it off, MV Agusta has equipped the Rush 1000 with top-spec suspension from Ohlins and Brembo braking hardware.
Big on performance
With a good amount of electronic aids and quality cycle parts, MV Agusta has tried to pushed the limits of legal two-wheel performance with the 998cc, inline-four engine that is housed in a trellis frame. It produces 205bhp of power and 116.5Nm of torque and is claimed to propel the Rush 1000 to a top-speed of 300kmph. The motor comes mated to a an EAS 3.0 quick-shift clutch.
Special kit
Priced at USD 46,431 (converts to Rs 33.85 lakh) the MV Agusta Rush 1000 is one expensive motorcycle. However, besides the limited edition tag that would leave motorcycle collectors drooling, it also comes with a special racing kit that includes a CNC fuel filler cap, machined brake and clutch levers, and protectors. Customers also receive an SC-Project race exhaust and racing ECU that transforms the Rush 1000 205bhp to a whopping 212bhp.
