Italian two-wheeler manufacturer, MV Agusta has revealed the 2021 iteration of its middleweight supersports model, the Superveloce. The company has also announced a new variant of the motorcycle, the Superveloce S. Both models feature similar styling and features, although the S variant gets a different colour palette and tubeless tyre compatible wire-spoke wheels.
The standard model is available in two colours – Pearl Metallic Yellow with Matte Metallic Graphite and Ago Red with Ago Silver. The S variant, on the other hand, is available in a single paint theme – Surreal White with Matte Gold. The S variant also gets an optional Racing Kit that brings an aftermarket exhaust and a pillion seat cowl to the motorcycle. Features such as full-LED lighting and a Bluetooth-compatible, 5.5-inch colour TFT display are standard on both variants.
Mechanical specifications, too, are similar on both models. The Superveloce and the Superveloce S use a Euro5-compliant 798cc, inline three-cylinder, 12-valve engine that produces 145bhp at 13,000rpm and 88Nm of peak torque at 10,100rpm. The claimed top-speed for the Superveloce range stands at 240kmph. The six-speed gearbox benefits from a bi-directional quick-shifter as standard.
The hardware is identical on both models, and the suspension tasks are handled by 43mm Marzocchi upside-down front forks and a Sachs rear mono-shock. The anchoring duties are handled by twin 320mm discs at the front and a single 220mm rotor at the back – both grabbed by Brembo-sourced callipers.
The standard Superveloce is available for 20,700 euro (Rs 18.29 lakh) while the S variant is listed from 23,600 euro (Rs 20.84 lakh) onwards.
