Kawasaki had announced that it would take the Ninja ZX-14R off the shelves from 2020 onwards owing to the change in stricter emission norms. However, the Japanese manufacturer has decided to revive the motorcycle for 2021. So let’s take a look at some of its pictures through this image gallery.
The 2021 edition of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R sports the same styling as it did three years ago. Although, for a hint of freshness, Kawasaki has given it a new dual-tone paint scheme called Peal Storm Grey with Metallic Diablo Black.
This paint option features red highlights on the somewhat bulky-looking fairing and fuel tank and on either side on the uniquely styled headlamp that still comes with conventional lighting.
However, Kawasaki has equipped the Ninja ZX-14R with other necessary electronic rider aids like three-mode traction control, two power modes, and dual-channel ABS. Nevertheless, it feels underequipped compared to the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa.
Powering the 2021 Ninja ZX-14R is a 1441cc, inline-four cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that sits in an aluminum monocoque frame. This motor is capable of producing 197bhp and 158Nm and is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Suspension duties on the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R are handled by 43mm inverted forks up front and a gas-charged monoshock at the rear- both with preload adjustability. Meanwhile, braking is done by 310mm discs held on by Brembo M50 calipers and a 240mm rear disc.
