Yamaha has updated its Japanese portfolio with the launch of the 2021 Bolt. The updated model, which has been launched in a single variant, is available for 1,045,000 yen (Rs 7.20 lakh) in the country. The bobber-style motorcycle features alloy wheels with silver paint for the spokes. The wheels, which use a 19-inch front/16-inch rear setup, are wrapped in tubeless tyres.
The styling cues include a round headlight at the front, body-coloured fenders, a 13-litre fuel tank, a compact instrument cluster, a split-style seat, round taillight, and dual-tone finish to the exhaust cannister. The hardware comprises telescopic forks at the front and the gas-charged, twin-sided rear springs to perform the suspension tasks. The braking setup includes petal-type single discs on both wheels while the safety net includes ABS.
Mechanical specifications include a 941cc, V-twin, air-cooled motor with SOHC setup and a fuel-injection system that makes 53.2bhp at 5,500rpm and 80Nm of peak torque at 3,000rpm. The motor is linked to a five-speed gearbox.
The company has not announced any plans about bringing the 2021 Bolt to the Indian market. We do not expect the Bolt to arrive on our shores any time soon.
