Yamaha has updated its Japanese product portfolio with the launch of the 2021 NMax 125. The 125cc scooter has been priced at 3,68,500 yen (Rs 2.46 lakh). The 2021 Yamaha NMax 125 will start arriving at the dealerships in Japan from 28 June, 2021.
The 2021 iteration of the NMax 125 gets a Bluetooth-compatible LCD screen, an engine start-stop system, and a traction control system. While the feature list has been revised, the styling remains similar to its predecessor. Thus, the 2021 Yamaha NMax continues to feature a maxi-scooter design. The scooter features an apron-mounted headlight, a tinted visor, a glove-box, 23-litre under-seat storage, a split-style footboard, and a step-up seat. The scooter will be available in four colours – Gray, Matte Dark Gray, Silver, and Matte Blue.
The motor on the 125cc scooter has received necessary changes to comply with the Euro5 emission norms. The 124cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine on the 2021 NMax 125 produces 11.8bhp of power at 8,000rpm and 11Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The scooter rides on 13-inch alloy wheels while the braking system comprises disc brakes on both wheels. The suspension tasks are handled by telescopic front forks and a twin-sided spring at the back.
