Yamaha’s 125cc XSR model has been confirmed for the European markets. The 2021 Yamaha XSR125 will be available for purchase in Europe from June onwards. The motorcycle is not likely to reach the Indian shores in the foreseeable future. While we await more information, here we bring you an image gallery of the 2021 Yamaha XSR125.
The 125cc model draws styling cues from its bigger siblings. The neo-retro design includes a round headlight at the front, body-coloured front fender, flat seat with ribbed pattern for the cover, an engine cowl, a round tail light, and a beefy exhaust cannister.
The motorcycle is based on the YZF-R125, and it thus uses a Deltabox frame and a liquid-cooled engine. It uses an 11-litre fuel tank and tips the weighing scale at 140kg (kerb).
Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the Euro5-compliant, 124cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor produces 14.7bhp at 10,000rpm and 11.5Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm.
The XSR125 rides on 17-inch Y-shaped alloy wheels on both ends. The braking setup comprises single discs on both wheels.
The suspension setup on the motorcycle includes 37mm upside-down front forks and a mono-shock at the rear.
