- Makes 12.8bhp and 10Nm of peak torque
- Gets a combined braking system
- To be sold in two colour options
Benelli has showcased the 2022 Leoncino 125 at the ongoing EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy. The motorcycle will be available in the European market in 2022, although its Indian launch seems unlikely.
The Chinese-owned Italian two-wheeler maker will offer the motorcycle in two colour options – grey and green. This 125cc motorcycle draws styling cues from its bigger siblings, the Leoncino 250 and the Leoncino 500 – both of which are available in India.
Thus, the styling cues comprise a retro-inspired design. The Leoncino 125, similar to the higher displacement models, also features the Lion of Pesaro motif on the front fender. Other styling elements on the motorcycle comprise split-style alloy wheels, a single-piece seat, a side-slung exhaust, and a rear-fender mounted numberplate.
The mechanical specifications include a single-cylinder engine that is linked to a six-speed gearbox and tuned to deliver a maximum power output of 12.8bhp and a peak torque of 10Nm.
The suspension setup on the motorcycle comprises upside-down telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock. The braking tasks are handled by petal-type discs on both wheels while the safety net includes a combined braking system. Similar to its bigger siblings, the Leoncino 125 rides on 17-inch wheels.
