Honda has unveiled the 2022 edition of its famous small motorcycle, the Monkey. This motorcycle was revived in 2018 and once again it has went on to become one of the coolest bikes in Honda’s portfolio.
For 2022, the Japanese brand has given a new engine. The 125cc two-valve air-cooled motor churns out 9.2bhp at 6750rpm and peak torque of 11Nm at 5500rpm. This motor is now mated to a new five-speed gearbox. The company changed a lot of aspects to improve the overall performance of the motorcycle. Things like intake, airbox and exhaust have been completely redesigned. The exhaust is now a single-chamber system.
Honda claims that the combination of updated engine and gearbox has improved the overall fuel efficiency of the bike along with the top speed. The frame of the motorcycle have also been tinkered to improve the ride setup along with ground clearance and suspension travel.
The 2022 Honda Monkey will go on sale in August in UK and will carry a price tag of £3,899 (Rs 4 lakh). It will be available in three colours – blue, yellow and red.
