After launching the RS-X underbone model in Malaysia in November last year, Honda has now launched its new MotoGP-inspired Repsol Edition in the country. Although it’s unlikely to come to India anytime soon, its unique and swanky persona deserves a close look and we bring it to you all through this image gallery.
With razor-sharp edges of its body panels, wide and muscular front apron, and large 17-inch alloy wheels, the RS-X already stands out visually.
Now, the Repsol Edition takes its distinctiveness to a whole new level. Just like Honda's MotoGP motorcycles, this version of the underbone sports a shouty dual-tone paint scheme comprising white and red shades along with streaks of orange.
To add to its conspicuousness, Honda has bestowed the RS-X with 17-inch alloy wheels dipped in vibrant orange colour.
Although it looks like a maxi sport-scooter, similar to the likes of the Yamaha Aerox 155, the RS-X features a six-speed transmission system, just like motorcycles.
The gearbox comes mated to a 149cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that churns out 15.8bhp at 9,000rpm and 13.6Nm at 7,000rpm.
As for the features, there's an LCD instrument cluster, a full-LED lighting set-up, and a 4.5-litre fuel tank. The kerb weight of the RS-X stands at 122kg.
The production run of the Honda RS-X Repsol Edition will be limited to just 5,000 units to maintain its exclusivity. And no, it won't come to India due to the lack of demand for underbones in our country.
