- Honda Vario 160 gets MotoGP clothing
- Only four units will be produced
- To be used by Honda’s MotoGP riders and crew
After launching the 2022 edition of the Vario 160 sport scooter in Indonesia, Honda has recently taken the wraps off the swanky MotoGP edition of the same. Unfortunately, it is not on sale in the market as of now.
Honda has made only four units of the Vario 160 with this MotoGP livery. Two of them bear the numbers ‘93’ and 44’ and will be specifically used by Marc Marquez and Pol Espargaro, respectively, the team’s official riders. The remaining two will be available for the paddock crew to potter around on. Honda will be using the scooters in pre-season tests as well as in the main races to be held at Mandalika.
Even in its stock form, the Honda Vario 160 looks smashing with a muscular front apron accompanied by angular and sharp design lines all over. And the orange and red MotoGP livery enhances its visual appeal to a whole different level. It won’t be surprising if Honda launches a limited-edition production version of the scooter soon.
The Vario 160 rides on 14-inch alloy wheels that are propelled by a 160cc engine capable of churning out 15bhp and 13.4Nm. It also gets a set of practical features such as an 18-litre under-seat storage space, a USB charging port and ABS as standard. Moreover, there’s a full-LED lighting system and a fully-digital console that shows a bunch of data.
