- Can attain a top speed of 90kmph
- Gets TFT display and cruise control
- India launch unlikely
China-based electric vehicle brand, Horwin, has released the 2022 edition of its SK3 electric scooter in its homeland. The highlight of the SK3 is its capability to deliver a full battery range of around 300kms!
The previous edition of the SK3, which was launched last year, was good for just 80km of range. For 2022 though, Horwin has executed revisions to its powerhouse and the electric scooter is now capable of delivering an astounding range of 300km. What’s worth noting is that this range can be achieved only by using two batteries together. A single battery has enough juice to provide a range of 160km and even that is more than a lot of electric two-wheelers available in India at present.
Similar to its battery range, the Horwin SK3’s top speed is impressive too at 90kmph. Propelling it to that pace is a 3.1kW motor with 6.3kW power output while its lithium-ion battery is rated at 72V36Ah. In terms of features, it’s as advanced as you’d expect an EV to be with things like a full-colour TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, a keyless power system, and cruise control. Complementing these features is a radical styling with sharply contoured and muscular body panels along with large wheels.
Besides China, Horwin sells the SK3 electric scooter in Europe as well but is unlikely to bring it to India anytime soon. Those looking for a premium e-scooter here can consider the likes of the Ather 450X.
