- 2022 KX250 priced at Rs 7.99 lakh
- 2022 KX450 available at Rs 8.59 lakh
- Both motorcycles come in a single paint option (Lime Green)
Kawasaki has announced the launch of the 2022 KX250 and KX450 off-road motorcycles in the Indian market. The KX250 will be available in a single colour option (Lime Green) and it has been priced at Rs 7.99 lakh. The KX450, too, has been listed in a single paint option (Lime Green) and it is available at Rs 8.59 lakh (both ex-showroom, India).
Similar to their respective predecessors, the KX250 and KX450 are designed for track-use only and thus they do not get street-legal features such as headlight, taillight, turn indicators, and rear-view mirrors. The off-road design on both motorcycles includes wire-spoke wheels that are wrapped in knobby tyres, a tall-set exhaust, a tall front fender, and a flat saddle. The motorcycles use an aluminium perimeter frame, petal-type disc brakes on both wheels, upside-down front forks, a rear mono-shock, and a Renthal aluminium Fatbar.
The mechanical specification on the KX250 include a 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine while the KX450 uses a 449cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor. While the power and torque output numbers are not available, Kawasaki claims that the 249cc motor on the 2022 KX250 makes 1.3bhp more than the old model. The electronics on the two motorcycles include electric start, launch control, and three map choices.
