Kawasaki has launched the 2022 model of the Vulcan 900 in the US. The Vulcan 900 sits in the middle of the Vulcan S and the Vulcan 1700 that the company retails in the US. The cruiser motorcycle is available in three variants, Classic, Classic LT and Custom. The Vulcan 900 Classic is priced at USD 8,399 (Rs 6.26 lakh). The Vulcan 900 Custom is priced at USD 8,899 (Rs 6.64 lakh). Meanwhile, the Vulcan 900 Classic LT is priced at USD 9,399 (Rs 7.01 lakh).
The Vulcan 900 is a gets a sleek design. It carries a circular theme for a few equipments like headlamp, indicators and mirrors. It comes with a single piece seat with a grab handle strap and twin exhaust pipes. The Vulcan 900 Classic is available in Metallic Dark Green/Pearl Robotic White colour. The Vulcan 900 Custom is available in the Pearl Nightshade Teal/Metallic Graphite Gray colour option. Meanwhile, the Vulcan 900 Classic LT is available in the Pearl Robotic White/Pearl Nightshade Teal paint scheme. The cruiseer motorcycle is powered by a 903cc liquid-cooled FI V-twin engine that produces 78.9Nm of torque at 3,500rpm. All this thrust is put down via a five-speed gearbox.
The three variants are differentiated by features and equipments on offer. The Vulcan 900 Classic features rider floorboards with a heel/toe shifter, tank-mounted instrumentation, and a 180mm rear tire. The Vulcan Classic LT comes with features like a standard passenger backrest, studded seat, leather saddlebags and height-adjustable windscreen. It is also offered with a 24-month limited warranty. Meanwhile, the Vulcan 900 Custom features wide drag bars and forward-mounted footpegs, lower seat height, custom styling with teardrop tank and pinstripe wheels.
While Kawasaki has launched the Vulcan 900 in the US, the chances of its arrival in the Indian market are pretty slim. The company already offers the Vulcan S in the Indian market, which is priced at Rs 6.04 lakh ex-showroom.
