- Inspired from 1975 Z1

Kawasaki has introduced new paint scheme on the 2022 version of the Z900RS – a modern retro motorcycle that is based on the Z900 streetbike platform.

This new paint scheme goes by the name candy tone blue and has been inspired from the 1975 Z1. This motorcycle gets this interesting blue paint scheme on the bodywork and also golden accent that does enhance the overall look of the motorcycle.

In terms of performance, everything remains the same. The bike is powered by a 948cc engine that churns out 108bhp. Although it bears a retro skin, the Z900Rs comes with switchable ABS and traction control with three modes, including an ‘off’ setting. The instrument console follows the twin pod design, but with a central digital display that shows the rider a wealth of information.

The 2022 Z900RS has already been launched in US and the company is demanding a certain premium for it. The Indian market used to get the Z900RS but it discontinued the model due to poor sales. The Japanese firm continues to sell the standard Z900 model though.
