KTM recently adorned the 890 Duke with a livery inspired by its MotoGP race bike for the international markets. The motorcycle is mechanically the same as the standard model but stands out visually. We have already detailed the bike and you can read about it here. As of now, let’s drool over the pictures of the swanky 890 Duke GP.
This version of the 890 Duke sports a vibrant dual-tone paint scheme which is a combination of orange and black shades. The colour scheme truly accentuates the razor sharp design lines of the motorcycle.
KTM has also equipped the GP trim with a rear seat cowl. The sub-frame also bears the logos of the brand’s industry partners - Motorex, Pankl Racing Systems, and WP.
Certain elements that instantly catch attention in the 890 Duke are its low-slung, split LED headlamp, the exposed cast aluminium sub-frame with a triangular cavity, and the upswept exhaust slung under the right side of the sub-frame.
There’s a 760mm wide tapered aluminium handlebar that’s four-step adjustable on the triple clamp and can be rotated to offer three subtly different riding positions.
Sitting in front of this handlebar is a full-colour TFT screen that is Bluetooth-enabled and shows a generous amount of information.
Propelling the 890 Duke GP is the same 889cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that does duty on the standard model. It churns out 113.4bhp of power and 92Nm of peak torque.
The performance can be modulated in four different modes – sport, street, rain, and track, depending on the riding condition. It also incorporates lean-angle sensitive traction control, ABS with supermoto mode, and cornering ABS.
The KTM 890 Duke GP will start reaching dealerships from next month in the international markets. It carries a price tag substantially higher than the base model.
