- Suzuki unveils 2022 GSX-S125 and GSX-R125
- Powered by Euro 5-compliant engine now
- Subtle cosmetic updates on offer
Suzuki has unveiled the 2022 editions of the GSX-S125 and the GSX-R125 for the European markets. Both bikes have received minor changes, mainly in accordance with the new Euro 5 emission norms.
Despite the bikes being compliant with the new Euro 5 emission norms, the power and torque output figures have remained unchanged. Both bikes continue to churn out 15bhp of power at 10,000rpm and 11Nm of torque at 8,000rpm and come with a six-speed gearbox.
The GSX-R125 and GSX-S125 have also received subtle cosmetic changes in the form of a slightly re-designed headlamp and updated graphics. The colour options they are available in are also new. The naked GSX-S125 comes in a choice of three colours including Metallic Triton Blue / Titan Black, Titan Black and Pearl Brilliant White / Titan Black colours. Meanwhile, the faired version will be available in Metallic Triton Blue, and Titan Black colours.
The cycle parts of the bikes are identical to the previous model. They ride on 17-inch alloy wheels that are suspended by telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by a petal-type disc at both ends along with a dual-channel ABS setup.
The 2022 Suzuki GSX-S125 and GSX-R125 will hit the European dealerships by early 2022. Indian market, unfortunately, won’t receive these motorcycles, at least not anytime soon.
