Benelli has unveiled its new middleweight naked roadster motorcycle, the Tornado Naked Twin 500 for the international markets. This motorcycle shares its 500cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with the TRK502 range. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this motor produces 47.6bhp at 8,500rpm and 46Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. Moreover, the transmission benefits from a torque converter and slipper clutch mechanism.
In terms of design, the motorcycle features a vertically-stacked twin-pod headlight with T-shape DRL at the front, body-coloured front fender, radiator shrouds, a 14-litre fuel tank, split-style seat, and an underbelly exhaust. The hardware, meanwhile, comprises 50mm telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock to handle the suspension tasks, wherein the mono-shock is adjustable for spring preload and rebound damping. Then, the anchoring setup includes twin 320mm discs at the front and a single 260mm rotor at the back. It rides on 17-inch wheels that are shod in 120/70-section front and 160/60-section rear tyres.
The feature list comprises a five-inch colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, handlebar controls, and full LED lighting. Benelli has confirmed that the Tornado Naked Twin 500 will be available in the international markets from the second half of 2023. The Indian launch details, however, are not available yet.
