BMW Motorrad has unveiled its boxer engine-powered naked roadster motorcycle, the R 1250 R for the international markets.
For 2023, the motorcycle gets new standard features and optional extras. Meanwhile, the mechanical specifications retain the 1,254cc, boxer-twin engine with BMW ShiftCam technology that generated 136bhp at 7,250rpm and 143Nm of peak torque at 6,250rpm in Euro5-guise.
The electronic safety net includes the dynamic traction control system and a new Eco driving mode that is available as standard. BMW Integral ABS Pro (part integral) and Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), too, come as standard. Meanwhile, Riding Modes Pro with riding mode pre-selection and engine drag torque control (MSR) are available as optional equipment.
The feature list comprises a new full LED headlamp while adaptive turning lights will be sold as accessories. The newly designed LED turn indicators and iconic daytime running light, which comes as standard fitment, complete the full-LED lighting. The cockpit includes a TFT colour display with the 'Sport' Core Screen as standard. Other equipment that comes installed from the factory includes a USB socket and Intelligent Emergency Call system.
Internationally, the motorcycle will be available in three colour options – base paintwork, Triple Black, and Sport. The India launch details are not available yet but we could see this motorcycle on our shores in early- to mid-2023.
