Honda’s global portfolio recently became more colourful as it launched a swanky new shade for its small-size sportbike, the CBR150R. That’s the only update it has received while remaining mechanically unchanged. Although the chances of the CBR150R coming to India are slim, it still enjoys decent popularity in our country courtesy of its attractive design. For such Indian CBR fans, we have compiled here a few pictures of the 2023 colour scheme of the motorcycle.
Christened Pearl Nightfall Blue, the new paint scheme is a vibrant combination of dark blue shade for most of its bodywork and subtle streaks of bold yellow in some areas.
This colour combination nicely complements the profoundly sharp and aggressive design of the bike. The most attention-seeking element is the front fascia which looks sinister with a narrow, split-style headlamp along with eyebrow-like DRLs on top.
The angular fairing has large air vents and blends neatly with the sculpted fuel tank. And accommodating the two-piece seat is a pointed upswept tail section.
On the feature front, the CBR150R is decently equipped. There’s a full-LED lighting system, a data-extensive LCD console, dual-channel ABS, and an assist and slipper clutch.
Propelling this sportbike is a 150cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor that churns out 16bhp and 13.06Nm of torque while being linked to a six-speed gearbox.
The hardware package comprises 17-inch alloy wheels, upside-down forks by Showa, a monoshock, and a petal-type disc brake at both ends.
The 2023 Honda CBR150R continues to compete against the Yamaha R15 V4 that is sold in India with a starting price of Rs 1.82 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
