2023 Honda CBR250RR: Details Explained

Honda has unveiled the 2023 CBR250RR for the international markets and the latest iteration of the quarter-litre model gets several upgrades over its predecessor. Here we explain all the details about the 2023 Honda CBR250RR.

Improved performance

The 2023 CBR250RR retains the 249.7cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled layout. However, Honda has revised the engine tuning for improved performance. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor now makes 38.2bhp at 12,500rpm and 23.3Nm at 11,000rpm. Then, there’s the SP variant that makes an even higher output of 42bhp at 13,000rpm and 25Nm of peak torque at 11,000rpm.

Features

The standard feature list on the motorcycle comprises full-LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, slipper and assist clutch mechanism, and three ride modes. A quickshifter, on the other hand, is available as an optional extra.

Better Aerodynamics

The styling continues to be sharp and aggressive like its predecessor. Thus, the 2023 model retains a twin-pod headlight, fairing-mounted rear-view mirrors, muscular fuel tank, step-up seat, and twin-barrel exhaust. However, Honda has tweaked a few elements to make the 2023 version more aerodynamic and sportier. These include minor revisions to the front fascia and the new turn indicators. The motorcycle boasts a 14.5-litre fuel tank and tips the weighing scale at 168kg.

Hardware

Honda has also updated the suspension setup and the 2023 CBR250RR now comes equipped with Showa SFF-BP inverted front forks and a rear monoshock. The braking setup includes single, petal-type discs on both ends while the safety net is handled by a dual-channel ABS. Lastly, the 17-inch alloy wheels are shod in 110/70-section front and 140/70-section rear tyres. The list of optional extras includes a pillion-seat cowl, tank pad, fuel lid pad, rear fender eliminator, radiator protector, and hand guards.

The Standard model of the 2023 CBR250RR is available in two colours while the SP variant is listed in four paint options. The colour choices for the standard version include Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic and Black Freedom. The SP version, on the other hand, is listed in Bravery Red Black, Mystique Blue, Honda Racing Red, and Honda Tricolour options.
