Honda Indonesia has launched the 2023 PCX 160. It has received mild updates for the new model year while retaining most of the design, features, and mechanicals.
The Honda PCX 160 is a well-known maxi-scooter in the Asian market. It gets a long and sharp maxi-scooter design with LED headlights, and front turn indicators neatly integrated into the apron. There’s also a smoked visor above the aforementioned setup which complements the overall design.
Honda has powered the 2023 PCX 160 with a single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor that makes 16bhp and 14Nm. It’s linked to a CVT gearbox and nestled in a double-cradle frame. That said, Honda will offer the new PCX in two trims – one with CBS (Combined Braking System) and the other with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System).
The feature list of the 2023 Honda PCX 160 comprises a fully digital instrument console. It houses multiple readouts like the speedometer, fuel level indicator, time, trip meter, and more. The Japanese maxi-scooter also comes with a USB charging port inside the left front compartment. Other features like the Honda Smart Key System, external fuel lid, and seat lock are also included.
The PCX 160 rides on telescopic front forks and dual rear suspension, while the braking hardware comprises a single front and rear disc with ABS or CBS. It gets a 14-inch front and a 13-inch rear wheel wrapped in 110/70 front and 130/70 rear tyres.
In Indonesia, the Honda PCX 160 is priced at IDR 32,620,000 (approximately Rs. 1.81 lakh, sans taxes). That’s a slightly high asking price compared to the Indian market standards. That said, its chances of entering our country are bleak.
