- Gets a new TFT display
- Powered by a 249.8cc inline four-cylinder motor
- India launch unlikely
Kawasaki has launched the updated ZX-25R in Indonesia. The latest iteration of the Japanese supersport has received feature and design updates. Here’s a closer look at it.
While the 2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R retains youthful styling with its sharp design, it now sports a new and slightly larger exhaust. That said, its split LED headlight too remains unchanged. Kawasaki has updated the bike with a new full TFT display that replaces the previous semi-digital unit. The console also gets Bluetooth connectivity.
Kawasaki has powered the 2023 Ninja ZX-25R with the same 249.8cc inline four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. It develops 50bhp and 22.9Nm, the same as before. The engine is nestled in a trellis frame suspended on 37mm USD front forks and a gas-charged rear shock.
The ZX-25R’s braking hardware comprises a 310mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. The setup is mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 110/70 front and 160/60 rear tyre. It gets a 15-litre fuel tank.
Kawasaki offers the bike in two variants: standard and R. The latter gets fully adjustable Showa USD forks and a Showa BFRC monoshock and comes wrapped in Kawasaki Racing Team livery.
The 2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R is unlikely to be launched in India anytime soon. At Rp 10,50,00,000 (approximately Rs 5.60 lakh sans taxes), the Ninja ZX-25R is quite expensive to say the least.
