- Z125 comes in two new colours
- Ninja 125 gets one new shade
- India launch unlikely anytime soon
Kawasaki has updated the Z125 and the Ninja 125 for 2023 in the European market. Both entry-level kwackers have received new colour options as a part of the update. The naked Z can be had in either Candy Lime Green/Metallic Spark Black or Pearl Storm Gray paint scheme. Whereas, the Ninja 125 is available in a single Lime Green/Ebony shade.
Owing to the strict licensing regulations, theZ125 and Ninja 125 are extremely popular in Europe where the new license holders can ride two-wheelers that are under 125cc and make less than 15bhp. This is where both entry-level Kawasakis fit the bill and attract a lot of young riders.
Most of the aspects of these motorcycles are inspired by their bigger displacement counterparts. The design, for instance, looks similar to the bigger Ninja and Z models. Both bikes look sharp, sporty, and combative. They are decent on the feature front as well with things like a fully-digital instrument cluster and ABS. Kawasaki also offers the Ergo-Fit system with these bikes which allows users to customise the riding posture to some extent.
Powering the Z125 and Ninja 125 is a modern 125cc, single-cylinder engine with liquid-cooling and makes 15bhp at 10,000rpm and 11.7Nm of torque coming in at 7,700rpm. Underpinned by a tubular steel diamond-type frame with 37mm telescopic forks and a monoshock, these bikes ride on 17-inch alloy wheels that are anchored by a single disc at both ends.
