Kawasaki has updated its Indonesian portfolio with the launch of the Ninja ZX-4RR at RP 239,900,000 (Rs. 13.01 lakh). It is available in a single variant and one paint option – Lime Green.
The mechanical specifications on the Indonesia-spec Ninja ZX-4RR include a 399cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with 16 valves (four valves per cylinder) and a Ram Air intake system. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this motor is tuned to deliver a maximum output of 76bhp at 14,500rpm and 37.6Nm at 12,500rpm. The transmission benefits from a bidirectional quick-shifter and a slipper/assist clutch mechanism.
Meanwhile, the styling cues comprise a Ninja ZX-25RR-inspired look that includes a twin-pod headlight, full-fairing, fairing-mounted rear-view mirrors, fairing-integrated front turn indicators, and a split-style saddle. It also features Kawasaki Racing Team graphics that include the ‘Kawasaki Racing Team' decal on the fuel tank and a ZX-4RR sticker that runs across the fairing. Other styling elements include a side-slung exhaust and a Ninja ZX-10R-inspired taillight.
The premium feature list on the Ninja ZX-4RR includes full-LED lighting, a Bluetooth-enabled 4.3-inch colour-TFT display that works with the Kawasaki Rideology smartphone application, four riding modes (Sports, Road, Rain, and Rider), two power modes (full and low), a three-level traction control system, and ABS. The hardware includes a trellis frame, 37mm upside-down Showa SFF-BP front forks, and a rear mono-shock. The front forks are adjustable for preload only, while the rear mono-shock features adjustability for compression, rebound, and spring preload.
While this motorcycle has arrived in the Indonesian market, it is yet to be launched in India. However, we do not expect it to arrive on our shores in the near future. Meanwhile, the company currently offers the Ninja 400 in India.
