Indian adventure riding enthusiasts have been waiting for the 790 Adventure to come to our shores for a long time. While the wait is just getting longer, KTM has updated the motorcycle for 2023 in the international markets. And it’s not just a minor visual update but a substantial makeover. In that case, we tell you some facts about the bike attached with a bunch of photos for you to gawk at.
Although the new 790 Adventure has been designed at KTM’s headquarters in Mattighofen, Austria, the production part will be taken care of by CFMoto in China.
The Austrian brand has refreshed the bodywork of the motorcycle to make it look sharper and sportier. While the headlamp looks majorly unchanged, the windscreen, side panels and tail look much sleeker now.
KTM has also introduced two new colour options including an all-black trim and a white paint scheme. Both these versions sport a new set of graphics which look quite edgy.
Similar to the new models of the RC 200 and RC 390, the 2023 790 Adventure also comes equipped with a new airbox for better heat management.
KTM has also introduced a new ‘DEMO’ function for the owners to try out all the optional accessories for the initial 1,500kms to decide which settings to buy later.
The engine of the bike continues to be the same 799cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled mill that comes mated to a six-speed gearbox and belts out 93.8bhp and 87Nm.
On the feature front, the middle-weight ADV gets full-LED lighting, a Bluetooth-enabled five-inch TFT display that works with KTMConnect Ap and gives access to calls, music, and turn-by-turn navigation.
