KTM has updated its product portfolio for the international markets with the introduction of the 2023 790 Adventure. For 2023, the KTM 790 Adventure gets a styling revision in the form of a new fairing design and two colour options.
This product has been designed in Mattighofen, Austria and it will be produced by CFMoto in China. The company said in its press statement that the production process in China will be supervised by KTM staff. The transcontinental cooperation is not the first for KTM, and it will ensure the adventure spirit can feed directly into the furthest corners of the globe.
The mechanical specifications retain the 799cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that is linked to a six-speed gearbox. Despite complying with the newest emission norms, this motor continues to deliver 93.8bhp at 8,000rpm and 87Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The gearbox benefits from an assist and a slipper clutch mechanism with new friction plates while a bidirectional quickshifter is available as an option. Meanwhile, the service interval is 15,000km long.
The 2023 model also gets a new airbox. This version also retains cornering traction control, ABS, Motor Slip Regulation, and ride modes. Further, KTM has installed the ‘DEMO’ function on the 2023 KTM 790 Adventure through which owners can trial the full slew of optional riding extras for the first 1,500km before deciding which settings they would like to purchase.
The hardware on the 2023 version includes 43mm WP Apex front forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock – both featuring 200mm of wheel travel. The braking setup includes twin discs at the front and a single rotor at the back.
Other features on this motorcycle include full-LED lighting and a Bluetooth-enabled five-inch TFT display that works with KTMConnect App. This connectivity module brings access to calls, music, and turn-by-turn navigation. The 2023 KTM 790 Adventure will be shipped to several international markets in April 2023. Meanwhile, its Indian launch details are not available yet.
