- Gets revised suspension for 2023
- Equipped with a redesigned seat and more foam
- Also features an updated TFT screen
KTM has pulled the wraps off the latest iteration of the 890 Adventure. And the list of changes for this Austrian ADV consists of both mechanical and feature tweaks. So, let’s have a close look at the 2023 KTM 890 Adventure.
The bike has retained a majority of design from the previous model. So, the brawny ADV styling with the tall stance continues on the 2023 model. But the headlight and screen design have been altered with a much more conventional approach. The front and side fairing now look more cohesive. That said, the vertically stacked LED headlight has been carried over. It’s now topped by a new windscreen that sits more upright and aims to reduce buffeting. KTM has also added a new alloy guard to protect the engine and the fuel tank.
The 2023 KTM 890 Adventure draws power from the same 889cc LC8c parallel twin engine. It dishes out 103bhp and 100Nm and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The steel tube frame too remains unaltered but it’s now suspended on revamped 43mm WP Apex USD forks. These springs now feature rebound and compression adjustment. Meanwhile, the rear end gets a WP Apex monoshock. The front and rear disc brakes too remain untouched and are mounted on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels wrapped in Pirelli Rally STR tyres.
On the feature front, the 2023 KTM 890 Adventure gets an updated five-inch TFT. It helps the rider to monitor various electronics like the TPMS (tyres pressure monitoring system), smartphone connectivity, quickshifter, cruise control and traction control settings.
KTM hasn’t revealed the asking price for the 2023 model but it’ll cost slightly more than the outgoing trim. For reference, the previous model was priced at GBP 10,449 (approximately Rs 10.19 lakh sans taxes).
