- Available in two colours
- Gets orange paint to the sub-frame and alloy wheels
- Indian launch unlikely
KTM has unveiled the 2023 iteration of the 890 Duke GP for the international markets. This model gets a revised paint theme and the motorcycle is available in two colourways – orange and black. Both colour options get colour-coordinated front fender and rear cowl along with an orange shade for the alloy wheels and the sub-frame. Further, this version gets a GP-motorcycle-inspired livery which brings ‘Motorex’ and ‘WP’ decals to the sub-frame.
Other styling elements remain identical to the standard KTM 890 Duke and the GP edition continues to pack a split-style headlight, muscular fuel tank, and a tall-set exhaust canister. This middleweight roadster from the Austrian brand uses a Euro5-compliant 889cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that makes 114bhp of maximum output and 92Nm of peak torque. This motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox that benefits from an assist and slipper clutch mechanism. A bidirectional quickshifter is available as an optional extra.
The standard electronic rider aids include three ride modes (Sport, Street, and Rain), lean-sensitive traction control system, motor slip regulation, and cornering ABS. Meanwhile, the Track mode is available as an optional extra and it brings access to throttle control, traction control slip level, anti-wheelie control, and launch control.
The hardware comprises WP-sourced 43mm upside-down front forks, WP rear mono-shock, twin 300mm front discs, and a 240mm rear rotor. The motorcycle tips the weighing scale at 169kg (dry). KTM has already introduced this motorcycle in several international markets. Meanwhile, it is not likely to reach the Indian market in the foreseeable future.
