- Unveiled in the USA
- Gets new paint schemes
- Powered by a 645cc liquid-cooled V-twin motor
Suzuki has unveiled its 2023 range of motorcycles in America, including the SV650. The Japanese neo-retro middleweight offering is now available in three paint schemes: Glass Sparkle Black, Solid Iron Gray, and Metallic Reflective Blue (ABS only). Here’s what it offers.
The 2023 Suzuki SV650 dons thorough neo-retro garb all over. The bike looks quite desirable with its round LED headlight, fairly muscular fuel tank, single-piece seat, and exposed chassis. Moreover, the new Solid Iron Gray paint scheme with the red cast aluminum wheels gives the bike’s aesthetic a slight bump.
It draws power from a 654cc liquid-cooled V-twin motor with the output rated at 72bhp and 64Nm. It’s mated to a six-speed gearbox. For reference, the Kawasaki Z650RS dishes out 67.3bhp and 64Nm from its 649cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled motor.
It rides on conventional telescopic front forks and a linked rear monoshock. The braking hardware comprises twin front discs and a single rear disc with dual-channel ABS (optional). The setup is mounted on 17-inch alloys wrapped in a 120/70 front and 160/60 rear tyre.
In the USA, the 2023 Suzuki is priced at USD 7,399 (approximately Rs 5.8 lakh sans taxes) for the base model and USD 7,849 (approximately Rs 6.24 lakh sans taxes) for the ABS model. Currently, the only big bike offerings that Suzuki India has in its portfolio are the V-Strom 650XT, Katana and the Hayabusa.
