India Yamaha Motor has announced the launch of the 2023 Fascino and RayZR series. Both scooters are available with a 125cc engine only. The Fascino 125 is available in a single variant – Fi Hybrid – while the Ray ZR 125 is listed in two options – RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Ray ZR Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid.
2023 Yamaha Fascino 125 and RayZR 125: Specifications
The 2023 range retains the 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with fuel injection technology that makes a maximum output of 8bhp at 6,500rpm and a peak torque of 10.3Nm at 5,000rpm. The scooters, however, now features an OBD-II sensor and is E-20 fuel compliant. The OBD-II sensor helps track data vital to the engine’s health and performance in real time.
2023 Yamaha Fascino 125 and RayZR 125: Features
The 125cc hybrid scooter range is Bluetooth-enabled and works with a Y-Connect application. The Yamaha Y-Connect App includes a fuel consumption tracker, maintenance recommendations, last parking location, malfunction notification, revs dashboard, and rider ranking.
These scooters also feature the Intelligent Power Assist system that is said to deliver an additional thrust utilising the Smart Motor Generator (SMG) system that doubles up as an electric motor. This system is aimed to offer additional linear power when the rider accelerates from a stop, or while climbing steep inclines. Meanwhile, the 125 Fi Hybrid engine continues to feature the Automatic Stop & Start system for better fuel economy. Then, the safety net on these scooters comprises a side stand engine cut-off function and combined braking system.
2023 Yamaha Fascino 125 and RayZR 125: Styling and Colours
The styling remains unaltered and the 2023 range of Yamaha 125 Hybrid scooters looks similar to their respective predecessors. However, the company has added new colour themes to the list. The disc variants of the Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid and Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid, for example, will now be available in the all-new Dark Matte Blue colour. Meanwhile, the Ray ZR Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid will be available in two new paint themes – Matte Black and Light Grey Vermillion. Further, the disc and drum variants of the Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid get new graphics in its existing colours – Matte Red, Metallic Black, and Cyan Blue.
