- 2023 XSR155 launched in Indonesia
- Remains mechanically unchanged
Yamaha has launched the 2023 edition of its highly popular neo-retro offering, the XSR 155, in Indonesia. While the motorcycle remains mechanically unchanged, the new shades add a pinch of visual freshness to the bike.
The four new colours of the 2023 XSR155 include Metallic Red Authentic, Light Blue Wanderlust, Metallic Black Elegance, and Matte Silver Premium. While the blue and red colours are adorned with a new set of decals, the silver and black colour schemes just boast a ‘Yamaha’ badge on the fuel tank. The black version, in particular, truly stands out with golden upside-down forks up front while the rest of the colours incorporate black USDs.
The overall bodywork of the XSR155 is left untouched and it retains a round headlamp, off-set console, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a single-piece seat with a ribbed pattern, and a minimalistic floating-style tail. Powering the bike is an R15-derived 155cc, liquid-cooled, VVA-equipped engine that churns out 19bhp and 14.7Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. Further, the list of features includes an LED headlamp and tail lamp, a blue backlit LCD console, and an assist and slipper clutch.
Unfortunately, the Yamaha XSR155 is unlikely to come to India anytime soon, despite its profound popularity on our shores. However, for those who want a modern-looking bike based on the same platform as the XSR, Yamaha sells the R15 V4 and the MT 15 V2 in India.
