Yamaha has updated its Japanese portfolio with the launch of the 2023 YZF-R25. For 2023, this quarter-litre motorcycle gets a new paint option, Dark Blueish Purple Metallic. With this, the YZF-R25 is available in three colours – Black Metallic, Deep Purplish Blue Metallic, and the new Dark Blueish Purple Metallic. The motorcycle is priced at 6,90,800 yen (Rs 4.37 lakh).
Meanwhile, the styling remains unaltered and the 2023 YZF-R25 retains design elements such as a twin-pod headlight, full-fairing, fairing-mounted rear-view mirrors, clip-on handlebar, side-slung exhaust, and 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends. Yamaha has also tweaked the feature list, and the 2023 Yamaha YZF-R25 now comes with LED turn indicators. Other features retained from the previous version include an LED headlight, an LED taillight, and a fully-digital instrument cluster.
The mechanical specifications on the motorcycle include a 249cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that delivers a maximum output of 34.8bhp at 12,000rpm and a peak torque of 23Nm at 10,000rpm. This motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox that can be upgraded with an optional quick-shifter. The hardware on the 2023 model comprises a diamond-type frame, upside-down front forks, rear mono-shock, and disc brakes on both wheels.
The Indian launch details of the 2023 Yamaha YZF-R25 are not available yet. However, we do not expect to see this motorcycle on our shores in the foreseeable future. Meanwhile, the company will soon update its Indian portfolio with the launch of the 2023 variants of YZF-R15, MT-15, and FZ-X very soon.
