Chinese bike maker, CFMoto, took the wraps off its small-size adventure motorcycle, the 450MT, at the 2023 EICMA show in Milan. Although its India arrival is still uncertain, the overall package is interesting enough to take a close look at its details along with its pictures.
CFMoto has bestowed the bike with a stance that’s typical of ADVs; it looks tall, muscular, and rugged. Adding to its road presence is the large spoke wheel up front and long-travel suspension at both ends.
The 450MT is not just about form but also function and exemplifying the same are its seat height and ground clearance which stand at 820mm and 220mm, respectively.
Powering the motorcycle is a 450cc, parallel-twin engine that also does duty on the 450NK and 450SR. This unit produces 43.58bhp and 44Nm.
Boasting a dry weight of 175kg, the 450MT rides on a 21-18-inch spoke wheel combination that is suspended by 41mm USD forks and a multi-link monoshock, both sourced from KYB.
The feature list of the bike is quite impressive with things like a five-inch curved TFT screen, switchable dual-channel ABS, switchable traction control, and the facility to receive OTA updates.
CFMoto is expected to launch the 450MT in the international markets in the first half of 2024. As for the Indian market, the company is yet to restart its operations here after suspending sales a few months back.
