Honda has unveiled the 2024 CB500 Hornet at the EICMA 2023. It is the Japanese brand’s latest middleweight and here is what we know about it.
The 2024 Honda CB500 Hornet gets a single-piece headlight, which consists of a centrally placed LED unit with a DRL on the periphery. The design looks futuristic and muscular, to say the least. The fuel tank adds to the visual mass of the CB500 Hornet and the side-slung exhaust, too, enhances the design aspect of the bike.
The CB500 Hornet is powered by a 471cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor. This engine dishes out nearly 47bhp and 43Nm. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox and comes with an optional quickshifter, too. The CB500 Hornet rides on Showa 41mm SFF-BP USD front forks and a preload adjustable rear shock. Then, the braking hardware includes a dual 296mm front and a single 240mm rear disc. These are mounted on 17-inch alloys wrapped in 120/70 front and 160/60 rear tyres.
Meanwhile, the features include all-LED illumination and a five-inch TFT with a speedometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel level readout, and more. There’s smartphone connectivity with navigation as well.
Honda is unlikely to launch the 2024 Honda CB500 Hornet in India. So, it will be limited to the international market only.
