- CBR500R gets CBR1000R design elements
- Now equipped with a TFT screen
- India launch unlikely
Honda has taken the wraps off the 2024 version of a famous middleweight sports bike – the CBR500R. The brand has given it significant styling and feature upgrades for this New Year.
The 2024 CBR500R now almost looks like the CBR1000R, and that’s because the brand decided to bring in the Fireblade aggression and sportiness. Most bodywork is new, and the fascia is now more angular. The overall body proportions haven’t changed, though. Regarding features, this Honda now comes with a five-inch TFT screen, which can be operated through a cube on the left-side switchgear. This cluster supports Bluetooth and has Honda’s RoadSynch tech. The Honda Selectable Torque Control also comes as standard.
There has been no change in the performance side. The 2024 CBR500R gets the power from the 471cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor, which is known for a powerful mid-range. The refinement and the overall NVH of this bike have been talked about a lot, and it is likely to happen the same for the 2024 variant.
Sadly, this bike won’t come to India anytime soon, and if it does in the next few years, its pricing will likely deter many Indian buyers from considering it.
