Honda has launched the 2024 CBR600RR in Europe. The Japanese supersport has made a comeback after years of hiatus and harps back the predecessor's character while taking inspiration from the most modern CBR model in the litre class category.
The new Honda CBR600RR gets a sleek and aggressive bodywork. Its silhouette is of a proper supersport motorcycle, with low clip-ons, rear set footpegs, and a crouched riding position. That said, Honda has equipped the 2024 CBR600RR with an underseat exhaust system, similar to the previous model. It is available in two paint schemes – Grand Pix Red and Matte Ballistic Black.
Honda has powered the 2024 CBR600RR with a 599cc inline four-cylinder engine and it makes 119bhp and 63Nm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox and gets a quickshifter for clutchless upshifts. The list of electronics on the new CBR600RR includes fully digital TFT, traction control, a six-axis IMU, five riding modes with one custom mode, anti-wheelie, and dual-channel ABS.
The hardware on the 2024 Honda CBR600RR comprises fully adjustable Showa USD front forks and a monoshock. Its braking duties are done by twin 310mm front discs and a 220mm rear disc mounted on 17-inch wheels wrapped in 120/70 front and 180/55 rear Dunlop tyres.
The asking price for the new Honda CBR600RR is set at EUR 12,140 (approximately Rs. 11.06 lakh sans taxes). Currently, the bike is on sale in the international market only. If Honda does launch the new CBR600RR in India, it will rival the soon-to-be-launched Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R.
