-Gets new bodywork
-New colours introduced
-Powered by a 124cc engine that makes 10bhp and 11.1Nm
The 2024 Honda Grom has been unveiled in the Japanese market and by the looks of it, Honda’s cute little two-wheeler has received a notable facelift.
Starting with the design, the Honda Grom receives new bodywork. It no longer looks like a toy bike and in fact there’s a hint of maturity in the design. This is evident from the new headlight cluster, the chunky fuel tank that adds visual mass and the sleek side panels. The tail section is minimal and on the whole the Grom looks as attractive as ever. The 2024 Honda Grom gets two new colourways- Pearl Horizon White and Matte Gunpowder Black.
Under the new bodywork lies a steel mono-backbone frame that’s suspended by a USD fork and a monoshock. The bike rides on the alloy wheels shod with a 120-section tyre at the front and a 130-section tyre at the rear.
Powering the Grom is a 124cc, single-cylinder engine that makes 10bhp and 11.1Nm. It is paired with a five-speed transmission.
The Honda Grom was never launched in India, however, with the market opening up to newer and varied styles of two-wheelers, it’ll be interesting to see if Honda would consider the Grom for India. It should make for a great urban runabout and a good replacement for the now defunct Honda Navi that was perhaps, ahead of its time.
