- Super Cub updated internationally
- Gets new colour schemes
- Will not be launched in India
Honda has updated the Super Cub for 2024 in Thailand. The model was introduced in 1958 and is one of the most iconic models on sale today.
Well, the 2024 Honda Super Cub is now available in two new colours- Pearl Organic Green and Pearl Cadet Gray. While the Green previously featured on the CT 125 Hunter Cub gives a retro military look, the Gray is even more classic and harks back to the paint options of automobiles offered in the 1950s and 1960s. These new colours join the Black, Red and White paint options already on offer.
And while the Super Cub takes on a slightly more modern approach in most countries it is sold, it manages to stay true to its roots in Thailand using wire-spoke wheels instead of alloy wheels. The Thai-spec machine is also equipped with drum brakes at both ends while the other markets receive a front disc brake. However, specs are shared across markets with the Honda Super Cub getting a 109cc, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine that is mated to a four-speed gearbox. Historically, the Super Cub has been accessible and the 2024 model is no different. It weighs just 98kg and a low seat height of 744mm.
Now, the Honda Super Cub will not make its way to India anytime soon but if you are looking for something something as utilitarian there is the TVS XL 100 Heavy Duty on sale in the country.
