- 2024 IBW dates out
- Flat Track Race with FMSCI
- Festival could see new bike launches
The 2024 India Bike Week is slated to be held on 6-7 December, and with that, a tentative plan for the motorcycle activities is also out.
For 2024, India Bike Week will see a flat track race which will be FMSCI-approved. It will be done on a custom Harley-Davidson X440 over two days. The qualifying rounds will take place on both the days and the semifinals and the final round will be held on the last day. The last few editions of IBW did see flat tracking participation, but this is the first time that it is FMSCI-approved. Registration for this will commence on 15 November on IBW’s official website but is limited to 81 participants only. The winner will take home Rs 10 lakh as prize money.
Along with a flat track race, IBW 2024 will also see Dirt Drag – a 200-metre race with a few dirt-based obstacles and autocross. The online ticket sales for IBW have already commenced and there are some early bird tickets on sale. For the first 2000 buyers, a day pass will cost Rs 1999 and a weekend pass will cost Rs 2999.
The 2024 IBW is also likely to see participation from many motorcycle brands. Last year, Kawasaki, Hero MotoCorp, Harley-Davidson and KTM also showcased their motorcycle range. In fact, a few brands used this festival to unveil and launch some of their new motorcycles. 2024 IBW could also see some exciting bike launches.
