- Gets a fascia similar to the 1290 Super Duke test mule
- Could benefit from the radar system too
- Likely to be unveiled in 2024
KTM recently unveiled the 2023 Super Adventure 1290 in the international market. And now, its probable facelift has been spotted a few days after the 1290 Super Duke GT test bike made an appearance. Here’s what it looks like.
Evidently, the brawny Austrian ADV will receive a new fascia similar to its streetfighter sibling. The updated setup comprises a pair of vertically stacked projector LED lights, flanked by LED turn indicators. The headlight is topped by a transparent windscreen which looks the same as the 2023 bike. Below the headlight unit is the radar system which is likely to be used for Adaptive Cruise Control.
The side panels, overall bodywork, exhaust, and the remaining design on this test mule seem to be retained from the current bike. It’s likely to be powered by the same 1,308cc, LC8, V-twin engine as the 1290 Super Duke. But the state of tune could vary to suffice the ADV sibling’s requirements. You can expect a truckload of goodies like riding modes, traction control, ABS, smartphone connectivity, heated grips, and more on the feature front.
The spoked wheels, dual front with a single rear disc, and adjustable front and rear suspension could also be carried over. Currently, the largest offering from KTM in India is its 390 lineup and we don’t expect that to change anytime soon.
