 2025 Indian Scout line-up unveiled

-Five models

-Powered by a new 1250cc, liquid-cooled V-twin

-Gets a new frame

Indian Motorcycles have taken the wraps off the 2025 Scout range. This time around, the Indian Scout is available in not one, not two but five models. They are called Scout Classic, Super Scout, Scout Bobber, Sport Scout and the 101 Scout.

Beginning with the Scout Classic, as the name suggests, its design is inspired by the old Indian Scouts. Hence, it gets chrome wire-spoke wheels, and chrome exhaust pipes along with notably flared fenders in comparison to the rest of the bikes in the lineup. The Super Scout is the touring ready version of the Scout Classic. It gets a windshield, saddlebags and a pillion seat.

The Scout Bobber gets the “Bobber” motorcycle treatment, evident in the chopped fenders, the hunkered down stance and the all-black colour. The Sports Scout features handlebar risers that are attached to a machined triple clamp. The seat is also taller and it gets a 19-inch front wheel.

Lastly, the 101 Scout is the top of the range motorcycle and it pays homage to the original Indian 101 Scout. It gets a dedicated ECU setting for more power, an adjustable front fork and adjustable piggyback rear shock absorbers. It also gets machined triple trees and distinctive colours.

Common to the five Indian Scout models is the brand-new 1250cc, liquid-cooled, V-twin engine called SpeedPlus. It produces 111bhp in the 101 Scout and 105bhp in the rest of the models. The peak torque at 111Nm is the same in case of all the models. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox.

Under the bodywork lies a new steel frame that is suspended by a telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers. While the 101 Scout gets a 43mm fork, the rest of the models have a 41mm unit. Moving to the braking hardware, the 101 Scout gets dual 320 disc brakes at the front with four-piston calipers. The other Scouts get a 298mm disc at the front. All models have a 298mm disc at the rear.

Indian is offering three trims on the Scout- Standard, Limited and Limited Tech+. The Standard and Limited trims are available with the Scout Classic, Scout Bobber and the Sport Scout. In the Standard trim, the bikes get LED lights, analogue dials and ABS. In addition to this, the Limited trim features cruise control, traction control and three ride modes- Sport, Standard and Tour.

The Limited Tech + trim is reserved for the Super Scout and 101 Scout only. Instead of the analogue dials, it gets a round, 4-inch TFT touchscreen with Bluetooth connectivity and GPS navigation.

Prices of the Indian Scout in the USA begin at $13999 and go up to $16699. Indian Motorcycles is expected to launch the new Scout in India and it could happen sometime later this year.
