- Gets new 1099cc, inline-four engine
- SE variant gets Ohlins monoshock, Brembo brakes
- India launch soon
The 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 1100 SX has been unveiled. The Japanese sports touring bike has received a bunch of updates for 2025. The bike is available in international markets in two trims - Standard and SE.
Kawasaki has plonked a new 1099cc, liquid-cooled, inline-four engine in the new Ninja 1100 SX. It makes 136bhp at 9,000rpm and 113Nm at 7,600rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and an updated quick shifter that operates from 1,500 rpm onwards. This will enable one to use the quickshifter even at low city speeds.
Kawasaki adds that they’ve tuned to engine to improve the torque curve across the rpm range for better rideability. Also, the fifth and sixth gears are taller to keep a calmer cruising experience while out on the highway.
Visually, there’s nothing much to differentiate between the 2025 model from its predecessors. The sharp front fairing with the twin LED headlights and even the side and tail sections are the same. In the SE trim, you get gold and black graphics which contrast well with the green colour of the bike.
Under the bodywork, the chassis is the same, save for a new, bigger rear disc brake. Speaking of, the Kawasaki Ninja 1100 SX SE gets Brembo Monobloc 4.32 calipers at the front. It also has an Ohlins S36 adjustable monoshock which is not available in the standard version. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels with new Bridgestone Battlax S23 tyres.
Moving on to the features, the Ninja 1100 SX is quite loaded. It’s got all LED lights, TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, power modes, traction control, ABS, cruise control and USB-C charging port. The SE version gets heated grips as standard.
The 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 1100 SX is likely to be launched towards the end of the year, possibly at the India Bike Week in December.
