Norton recently unveiled its new litre-class V4 superbike at the Motorcycle Live show in the UK. Based on the Norton SG5 Isle of Man TT race bike, Norton claims that the V4 is the most powerful and technologically advanced British production superbike. Here is a detailed photo gallery of the Norton V4.

The Norton V4 is hand-built at the Donington Hall factory in England, and is offered in two versions – the SS and RR.

It is built around an aluminium twin-tube chassis with single-sided swingarm and a steering head pivot to adjust the rake angle.

Powering the Norton V4s is a 1200cc 72-degree V4 engine delivering 200bhp and 130Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission.

Electronic package includes six-axis IMU, traction control, launch control, anti-wheelie system, adjustable engine braking, riding modes, cruise control and a two-way quickshifter.

Both the Norton V4s are offered with an 18-litre carbon fibre fuel tank, though the V4 SS also gets lightweight carbon fibre wheels.

The fully-adjustable suspension and braking hardware have been supplied by Ohlins and Brembo respectively.

The optional titanium racing exhaust system reduces the weight by eight kilograms and offers a 10bhp bump in power.

The Norton V4 is offered with a plaque bearing the serial number. Only 200 SS models will be built, while the RR is limited to 250 units.

While the Rs 37 lakh Norton V4 SS has already been sold out, you still have the chance to own the Norton V4 RR for just Rs 23.58 lakh (duties and taxes extra).
