MV Agusta might be battling to keep itself afloat, but that never stops the company from moving forward. Latest in the line of developments is a teaser video on YouTube that talks about 'RVS', or 'Reparto Veicoli Speciali'.
That translates to 'Special Vehicles Department' in English, and one thing is clear: the company has found that tapping into its legacy to offer customised models offer better profits. This is also one of the few things available to the company now that it is making itself smaller to reduce costs and debt - in the absence of many models, interest can be drummed up by a special model or two.
There's one more interesting feature in the teaser video - the silhouette of a never-seen-before MV. It has the proportions of the Dragster 800, but definitely has on/off-road tyres and what seems to be spoke rims. Whether it is a scrambler based on the Dragster 800 or a limited run of specials based on it remains to be seen.
