- Issue with headlight bulb
Harley-Davidson has recalled a whopping 31,346 motorcycles in United States. This recall is related to a faulty headlight bulb.
According the company’s recall documents, the interior of the bulb shield in an unknown number of XL headlamp assemblies (part number 68297-05A), may have been produced with a glossy, chrome finish. The same document says that majority of the affected motorcycles are from the Sportster family. But the same part was used as a replacement bulbs for the Softail, Dyna and V-Rod families.
The company is in the process of getting in touch with the affected buyers. They will be asked to bring the bikes to the nearest dealership where the issue will be fixed free of cost.
