CF Moto, a Chinese bikemaker, will make its debut in the Indian market with four motorcycles which are slated to be launched on 4 July. Interestingly, three out of these four bikes are 650cc models and we tell you what to expect from the 650NK middleweight naked street bike.
Design and Features
The 650NK is a naked streetfighter which gets sharp lines flowing all over its bodywork. The motorcycle features a muscular fuel tank with edgy tank extensions and the svelte, upswept tail section makes the overall stance sporty. While it gets a single-unit handlebar, the split seat and rear set footpegs make the ergonomics mildy aggressive. In terms of features, CF Moto has equipped the motorcycle with full-LED headlamp and tail lamp along with a fully-digital instrument cluster. With a 17-litre fuel tank, the kerb weight of the 650NK stands at 206kg.
Engine
The 650NK is powered by a 649.3cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled DOHC motor which also does duty on the 650GT and the 650MT. Mated to a six-speed gearbox, this mill churns out 60.3bhp of power at 9,000rpm and 56Nm of torque at 7,000rpm.
Cycle Parts
In terms of cycle parts, the motorcycle rides on 17-inch wheels which are suspended on KYB telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, braking duties are carried out by a pair of discs with dual piston calipers at the front and a single disc with a single piston caliper at the rear, both sourced from J Juan. The presence of ABS rings at both ends indicate that the 650NK is likely to get dual-channel ABS as standard.
Pricing
CF Moto will bring its motorcycles via the CKD (completely knocked down) route and considering its intentions to price them aggressively, expect the 650NK to cost around Rs 4.3 lakhs to Rs 4.6 lakhs (ex-showroom). In terms of competition, the naked street bike will lock horns with the Kawasaki Z650 in India.
