-CFMoto 300SR almost production-ready
-Gets aggressive styling and is based on the 300NK
-Expected to be launched in India in 2020
CFMoto had released a video teasing the 300SR race concept back in May 2019. Now, the 300SR has been spotted in the real world and this time in a production-ready form.
To begin with, the fully-faired motorcycle gets an aggressive design very similar to the concept. At the front, the 300SR houses a split, full-LED headlamps flanked by unique-looking, LED DRLs. It gets a muscular fuel tank and slightly raised clip-on handlebars that seem to offer slightly forward-set riding position. The raised tail section sports a split seat setup and also features air ducts that add a sporty touch.
Underneath its skin, the CFMoto 300SR is essentially the 300NK which was recently launched in India. Hence, the motorcycle will come powered by a 292cc, single-cylinder engine that churns out 33.5bhp and 20.5Nm of torque. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. Notably, the production-ready 300SR will get an underbelly exhaust unlike the Akrapovic end-can on the concept motorcycle. Moreover, the bike’s braking will be taken care of by single-discs on both ends held on by J.Juan callipers in place of the Brembo brakes showcased on the 300SR race concept. Meanwhile, suspension duties remain the same as the 300NK with inverted forks upfront and a monoshock at the rear.
In terms of features, the 300SR will come equipped with a 5-inch, full-colour TFT instrument cluster which displays a host of information. The display even gets two different design layouts called ‘Sport’ and ‘Rain.’ CFMoto is likely to offer the 300SR in two colour options- a teal blue colour with black and green highlights along with a large ‘CFMoto’ decal running across the fairing and a full-black colour option.
The manufacturer will officially unveil the 300SR to the world at the 2019 EICMA. And as CFMoto revealed earlier, it is likely to launch the motorcycle in India by the first half of 2020.
