Indian Challenger: Image Gallery

Indian Motorcycle has officially revealed its all-new cruiser, the Challenger. The motorcycle was spied several times before its unveiling, giving us glimpses of its styling and the new ‘Powerplus’ engine. Now that Indian has finally taken the wraps off its mighty cruiser, we take a close look at the motorcycle through this image gallery.

The Indian Challenger has been introduced in three variants including Standard, Dark Horse and Limited. Sporting different paint schemes, all three iterations remain similar in all other aspects.

The Challenger has been bestowed with a new styling and the centre of attraction is the large batwing-styled front fairing. It houses a round-shaped LED headlamp which is flanked by radical-looking LED DRLs on both sides.

Similar to other Indian models, the bagger sports a vintage-styled, peanut shaped fuel tank sporting the company’s logo. The maximum capacity of this tank is 22.7 litres.

Attention to detail is always a priority for Indian and this is exemplified by the meticulously designed ‘Indian’ insignia perched on the front fender which gets a thin LED strip placed at the centre.

Sitting behind the batwing fairing is a feature-packed, seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity. This is accompanied by a pair of 6.5-inch speakers to keep the rider entertained.

While the seats of the bike have already been designed for utmost comfort, they can also be paired with rider and pillion backrests which are available in the accessory list.

The Challenger is powered by a 1769cc, liquid-cooled, 60-degree mill which is the most powerful unit ever produced by the brand. It produces 121.8bhp of power and 173Nm of peak torque.

The bagger rides on a 19-inch wheel upfront and 16-inch unit at the rear, which are shod with Metzeler Cruisetec tyres.

While damping is handled by a combination of inverted forks and a monoshock, braking hardware comprises of twin discs at the front and a single disc at the rear.

The Indian Challenger will be soon available in the international markets and we also expect it to come to the Indian shores at a later stage. It will compete against the Harley-Davidson CVO line-up.
