Hero Electric unveiled its AE-3 electric vehicle at the Auto Expo 2020. The AE-3, which is the first electric trike that has arrived in the Indian market, will be aimed towards the B2B segment. In this post, we bring you details of the Hero Electric AE-3 through this image gallery.
In terms of styling, the AE-3 electric trike features an apron-mounted headlight and a tinted visor on the front fascia.
The electric trike comes equipped with digital instrument cluster, walk assist, reverse assist at 26km/h, mobile charger, smartphone app, GPS, geo-fencing and real-time tracking.
The saddle appears to be spacious enough to accommodate two adults. The rider comfort is enhanced with a backrest, although the setup eats into the pillion seat.
The cockpit also comprises a multifunction switch and a USB charger. A pair of speakers occupy the space near the footboard.
The electric trike uses a 250W electric motor that is powered by a 48V/3kWh battery pack. The AE-3 boasts of a top speed of 80km/h. The battery pack is claimed to deliver a range of 100 km. The charging time stands at five hours.
The shock absorption tasks are handled by quad-telescopic forks at the front and twin, and gas-charged spring at the back.
The two-front wheels feature single discs each, the controls for which are installed on the right side of the handlebar. Anchoring power at the rear comes from a single disc.
The AE-3 features a self-standing gyroscopic stability feature with Auto balance park switch.
